Construction Contracts

We offer a full range of construction contract services, including the negotiation, drafting, and review of design, development, design-build, and prime contracts, subcontracts, and material supply contracts.

In addition to having experience with standard form contracts such as those drafted by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), and the Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC), we are able to assist clients in the development, drafting, and negotiation of customized documents tailored specifically for their project or organization.

Finally, our contract lifecycle program offers a comprehensive set of pre-drafted form letters and notices to accompany each finalized contract. Each form notice and letter template is custom-keyed to correspond with specific provisions in your contract, yet remains fully customizable as necessary.

Defect Claims

We stand ready to provide clients with legal representation in all areas of Florida construction defect law and litigation, including navigating Florida’s construction defect notice statute, Chapter 558. We are proud of our established relationships with engineers and other construction professionals, which we can call upon to assist clients with their construction defect claims.

Indoor Air Quality & Mold

Our Indoor Air Quality practice focuses on issues such as mold and asbestos in indoor residential and commercial environments. We have established relationships with highly regarded HVAC and industrial hygiene experts, and experience with indoor air quality claims in both residential and commercial settings.

Lien & Bond Claims

We are able to assist clients in all aspects of Florida’s Construction Lien Law, from complying with notice requirements, to the preparation and recording of Claims of Lien, to the commencement and maintenance of lien foreclosure actions, and in bringing surety bond claims for both private and public construction bonds.

Litigation & Arbitration

Our construction litigation & arbitration practice focuses on the complex issues that our construction industry clients face. We are able to provide guidance on areas such as Florida’s Construction Lien Law, construction delay claims, construction defect claims, Chapter 558 notices, and much more. With experience litigating complex cases in both Florida state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings in the American Arbitration Association, we are fully prepared to assist clients in all aspects of litigation and arbitration proceedings, from the pre-litigation stage, through litigation and appellate review.
